Opposite Plaza de Mayo, the palatial and emblematic Casa Rosada (Pink House) is a baby pink-colored Italianate building that serves as the executive mansion. Inside is the Museum of Government, which is open to the public, and the president's office, which is not. It is from here that Eva Peron famously addressed the throngs from the balcony. Free half hour tours on Saturday and Sunday.
