Between Barra Beach and Recreio Beach in an ecological reserve in Barra da Tijuca, Reserva is a drive from downtown Rio since bus routes don't travel that far. The distance from city center though means much less of a crowd and a broad soft sand beach lapped by clear, clean water. Popular for water sports, surfing and snorkeling.

It´s not exactly a nude beach, but people do take off their speedos. Lots of action in the parking lot in front of it.
Very clean, but a too far away. Not acessible by public transportation.
