The huge granite blocks that stick out of Baía da Guanabara provide magnificent views of the city and beaches below. From up there, Rio is beyond question the most beautiful city on Earth. Two cable cars provide access to the top, departing from Praia Vermelha in Urca. The trip is split in two: first is Morro da Urca, a fantastic pit stop revealing memorable views, a restaurant, souvenirs shops and a playground, followed by a second cable car and leg up Sugar Loaf, the tallest of the blocks. Sunsets here are unforgettable with unparalleled views across to Corcovado, the Guanabara Bay and Copacabana beach below.
