Asilo Bar in a former brothel is an underground club known for its wide-ranging alternative music. Calling itself "an asylum for music lovers," it is on the kitsch side, recalling Warhol's The Factory and CBGB back in the day in New York. Professional DJs and even fans with great record collections play rock & roll, punk, post punk and rockabilly as well as salsa, boogaloo, minimal wave. It is best known for its theme nights and festivals, which include boogie nights and homage to mega stars like David Bowie and bands like the Eraserheads.
