Chicaque, member of the National Nature Reserves, is a magnificent cloud forest with hiking, birdwatching, camping, horseback riding and panoramic views. Less than an hour southwest of Bogota, it covers about 600 acres (244 ha) and offers nine marked ecological trails and canopy and zipline adventures. It has a two restaurants and a variety of overnight accommodations including a mountain hostal built of wood and cottages or "nests" in the trees.
