The Botero Museum opened in 2000 with an art collection donated by Fernando Botero, including 123 of his own works and 85 of prominent international artists like Picasso and Matisse. The collection is housed in a colonial mansion, formerly the archbishop's office and restored under Botero's direction. Entry is free.

The is a top art museum by international standards. Amazing collection. Likewise, the colonial mansion where the majority of the art can be found is a gem. Botero is a truly renowned artist, his style (Boterismo) quite unique - I think you cannot help but loving it. The adjacent newer part of the museum is more for changing exhibitions.
