The Plaza de Toros north of downtown by the Estadio Jalisco soccer stadium has two seasons: October-November and February-March. Featuring international and Mexican matadors, fights are held on Sundays at 4:30 pm with tickets available at the bull ring's website. Seats in the shade are considerably more than those in the sun. Built in 1967, the stadium seats some 20,000 and is also used for horse shows and concerts.
