 Jardín Hidalgo is the main square of the suburb of Tlaquepaque about five miles (7.4 km) southeast of downtown. It is a picturesque plaza that features a bandstand, gardens, fountains and the 17th century Sanctuary Our Lady of Soledad. It often hosts open-air cultural events and has an artisan market.
