Also known as the Palacio del Gobierno del Estado, the Museum of the Palace is housed in a jewel of Baroque architecture dating from 1790. The museum focuses on children and youth with interactive exhibitions on local cultural riches. Four disturbingly beautiful frescoes by José Clemente Orozco are on view above the grand staircase and in Congressional Hall. Guided tours offered at 11 am, 1 pm and 4 pm. Admission free.
