The passion play of Iztapalapa (one of the Federal District of Mexico City's 16 boroughs), is one of the most popular and largest religious celebrations in Mexico and in the world. Every year, during Holy Week, more than a million visitors come to Iztapalapa to participate in a 150-year-old tradition.
