The Cumbres del Ajusco - Ajusco Summits - can be seen from almost anywhere in Mexico City with peaks as high as 3,900 meters (12,795 ft). The park's pine and oak forests and high mountain grassland make it a popular destination for hiking, mountain biking, motorcycling, caving or catching a glimpse of a teporingo, a rare volcano rabbit. Snow is common in the winter.
