Once Latin America's tallest building when it opened in 1956, Torre Latinoamericana still offers great views from the lounge on the 41st floor and the observation deck on the 44th. Visiting the bar is free. Admission to the deck includes a museum recalling the city's history. The year after it was completed, the 188-meter (597 ft) building, withstood a 8.1 magnitude earthquake.

El 69

There's nothing fancy, and the beers are cheap at the smallish El 69 where the pop playlist gets people on the floor. No cover. Cash only.
