Why you should go to Puerto Vallarta !

Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico's sunny West coast is considered one of country's top beach destinations and without a doubt, the gayest city in Mexico.

Long a leading destination for LGBTQ travelers from around the world, this gay paradise combines the richness of Mexican traditions with great restaurants, enviable nightlife, adventure vacation and pure relaxation. Puerto Vallarta also has its very own LGBTQ-friendly district -the Zona Romantica (Romantic Zone) on the Bay of Banderas.

Popular year-round with temperatures in the 80s, this resort city draws a big crowd during its five-day Pride in May with music festivals, fashion shows, beach parties and mass commitment ceremonies. And, 2014 saw the launch of the Pink & Proud Women's Party, which promotes and strengthens the lesbian community in Puerto Vallarta.

So, pack a couple bathing suits, sunscreen, flip flops and some nice going out clothes and get ready for a seductive, sexy and sophisticated vacation in one of the world's friendliest cities.

Getting around

Puerto Vallarta has a good bus system and taxis may be hailed almost anywhere. It's also possible to explore the city by foot although pretty expansive.

A variety of rental car companies have offices at the airport with rates from $450 pesos per day (US$29.75), including taxes.

Buses run throughout the city between the Hotel Zone, Marina Vallarta, Airport, south of Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan for 6.50 pesos, an affordable way to get about. Blue bus signs mark the bus stops.
Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, but be sure to note the taxi's number and ask the rate before you get in as some are not metered.
