We've been spending part of our winters in PV since 2014, and are loving it. VERY gay-friendly, and the Mexican peoples are super nice and respectful!

I loved visiting Puerto Vallarta. It has beautiful beaches, great beachside dining options, fun bars and gay-themed entertainment as an alternative to clubs to add some variety to your nights out. Our preferrred bar for a drink after a day at the beach was Blondie's.

While many people stay in lodging up in the hills we stayed at the Sapphire Ocean Club which is right on the beach and has 4 suites private suites that had some spectacular sunsets.

While there are many dining options, if you want to splurge we had one of our more romantic meals at Cafe Des Artistes and had at least one meal (usually breakfast or dinner) every day on the beach. Our favorite beachside restaurant was La Palapa.

Best warmest home away from home. Many level and prices for hotels. Great beach life, nightlife, point of interest ...

avoid tourist offices offering free trips to local sites in exchange for condo viewing and a breakfast. See that all boat tours aren't non stop talking loud entertainments scams.

Did a tour boat to ancient Rock ?Island hell ofa noisy trip there. Cannot do any walking on island paddle boards not allowed more than 20 metres from ship. Snorkeling only option. Long, loud, expensive boring. 1/5.

They entrapped me for 6.5 hours $40 cab ride north of P.V. Rip off aggressive 5/5 intense waste if your day. Do not ... don't offer credit card for entrance for ID. Took three weeks to get out of a forced aggressive condo sale. Unpleasant area, holiday people only. Pristine and a huge distance from PV beaches. I was in tears and they refused to return my credit card until I signed. Got a lawyer for $400 to break contract based on coercion.

Great old town galleries, restaurants, shops, custom made espadrilles and the greatest people. Be aware and enjoy your time. Great city. They don't like you on beaches at night. Great trip to see
Botanical Gardens, Terminator Predator filming site, horses to top of hill great, food 3.5/5. But a good activity. So many distilleries. Book for2-3 stops. Not 4-7 stops. The most time is waiting hooking up with other buses just out of town. Two 45 minute stops! Be sure you get that reduced for written refund for over 15 minute wait in the middle of nowhere.

Parasailing, swimming, nudist gay safe island. Bring only $40. Out at 11 am back at 4 or 5 p.m.

Gay dinner and 6 bar/club tour was $80. 4/5. Wine lovers pay $20 more! Ripoff. But 9nly once a week if they have a group of 6-10+. Great tour why is wine more expensive? Next time tequila strawberry margaritas... saves $20!
