On the central Pacific coast close to several upscale resorts, Playa Blanca has a broad white-sand beach and a tranquil stretch of sea between Playa Farallon and Playa Santa Clara. Playa Blanca was once a sleepy fishing village but now is a favorite with sunbathers and swimmers and more active aquatic types who prefer kayaks and jet-skis. It is within a two-hour drive from Panama City on the Inter-American Highway.
