Cabbagetown is a neighborhood that might never quite make it beyond being in transformation, but this ramschackle, reluctant quality is what lends it so much character. Here new money still has to contend with 20th-century shotgun houses, undeveloped, kudzu-infested expanses and decaying or never existent sidewalks. Overall, though, there's a strong and highly strollable burrough-vibe that is hard to come by in other parts of town.
