To really begin to understand Atlanta, its unique diversity and cultural make-up, one must venture out toward the Perimeter, particularly into the Chamblee-Doraville area, where the city erupts in a multi-cultural smorgasborg that is striking in its vitality and variety. There are Asian shopping centers, giant Hispanic communities, China Towns, India Towns and You-Name-It-Towns, all somehow managing (barely) to make it into the city proper.
