The birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr. is a must-see for any visit to the city, and though standing outside and reading plaque will be enough for some, the tour inside the home by a park ranger (the house and its surroundings are classified as a national park) is brief, lovely and free. The tours fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it is best to arrive long before they start.
