Even before the city was covered with new works thanks to the annual Living Walls conference, it was a city renowned for its public art. Both formally inventive and consciousness-contributing, murals and installations can be seen all over the city and on a map online. However, the heart of it all is the dark and dingy Krog Street Tunnel, long a space unofficially sanctioned for graffiti and murals and a perfect place for any traveling tagger to leave their mark.
