Much older than even the Swan House, this former residence of controversial author Joel Chandler Harris has been a museum since 1913 thanks to a Carnegie endowment. The Victorian-style house has been lovingly kept up to shine over the years, and Harris's bedroom supposedly has remained untouched since his death. During the summer months, wrens build a nest in the mailbox out front, and there is storytelling on Saturdays at 1 pm.
