Just blocks from an El stop, their non-descript door wouldn't allow you to believe they have affordable cocktail drinks, impressive DJs and an extensive beer list waiting inside. Every third Thursday the Whistler holds "Slo Mo: Slow Jams for Homos (and their fans)", a monthly, queer dance party featuring slow jams and funky grooves, hosted by Chicago-famous Kristen Kaza and DJ Tess.
