The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is spread over five venues around Bahia Mar and the 17th Street Causeway with shuttle buses and water taxis connecting the sites. Begun in 1959 in the "Yachting Capital of the World," it has over 1600 vessels on display, fishing clinics, art shows, pop-up stores, floating cocktail parties and activities for the kids.
