The Seminoles, the only Indian tribe never to sign a peace treaty with the US, has six reservations in Florida with tribal headquarters in Hollywood. Seminole alligator wrestling as a tourist attraction goes back to the 1930s. The high-stakes Bingo gambling launched on the Hollywood Reservation in1979 was the first Indian casino in North America and the predecessor of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which followed in 2004.
