The Galleria set the standard for luxury when it opened as the Sunrise Center, an open-air shopping mall, in the mid-50s. It was rebuilt as an enclosed mall in the 80s and has more than 100 upscale specialty stores and eateries anchored by Dillard's, Macy's and Neiman Marcus. It's being redesigned again as a walkable, environmentally-friendly transit hub with community spaces and residential. Stay tuned.
