The adults-only hotel La Te Da has 33 rooms, each individually configured but all with king or double queen beds. The hotel is the late 19th century home of cigar manufacturer Teodoro Perez, who is perhaps best remembered for entertaining Cuban patriot Jose Marti', who made an impassioned speech from the upper balcony. "La-Te-D" supposedly is shorthand for "La Terraza de Marti." The hotel has a pool and a restaurant but it is better known for its cabaret, its piano bar, martini bar and Sunday tea-dance.
