Campanile was the dining trend-setter in LA in the 1990s when it was owned by Mark Peel and his now ex-wife Nancy Silverton. It closed in 2012 after it lost its month-to-month lease. Silverton's original La Brea Bakery next door also shuttered, but the artisan bread is sold nationally and internationally and two La Brea cafes operate on La Brea and in Downtown Disney.
