Chefs and partners Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson moved from Booklyn to LA to open Madcapa, a falafel stand and then some, in Grand Central Market. Their creative take on the Middle Eastern street food is served on flatbread rather than pita and can be ordered as a sandwich or a salad. The four variations are color-coded with "orange," for instance, teaming falafel with carrots, spinach, pickled hot peppers, walnut-yogurt and dill. Madcapra serves beer and wine and exotic non-alcoholic beverages like iced cardamon coffee, sumac-beet soda and an orange blossom yogurt drink.
