Abbot Kinney, named for the man who built Venice's canals, is a one-mile stretch of eclectic shops, art galleries, wine stores, restaurants and nightlife. On the last Saturday of September each year, the street holds an all-day festival with live music, beer gardens, food trucks and kid activities. The Metro Rapid Line Bus #773, running between the Civic Center downtown and Santa Monica, stops at the Abbott Kinney Memorial Branch Library at Abbot Kinney and Venice Boulevards.
