Echo Park Lake offers fishing, pedal boats, picnic areas , indoor swimming pool and walking paths and is particularly lovely June through September when lotus flowers are in bloom. In the past, Echo Park Lake has been a film set for silent movies, the site of Christian evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson's temple and a hangout for bohemians and drug dealers. The lake was returned to previous glory in 2013.
