Launched in 1960, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a collection of more than 2,500 pink terrazzo and brass stars, stretches along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three of Vine Street. Celebrities can be honored in one or more of five categories. Gene Autry, cowboy singer, movie star and entrepreneur, is the only one who has qualified in all five.
