When "Melrose Place" was a long-running TV sit com in the 1990s, Melrose Avenue was a hip and cutting edge shopping street. Less so today, but it's still an eclectic collection of shops and restaurants. The most famous section - called Melrose District - runs through Hollywood and West Hollywood. The far western end, known as Melrose Heights, is where you'll find the Kardashians' D-A-S-H, high-end designers like John Varvatos and Vivienne Westwood and Fred Segal, the posh emporium that has turned up in movies like "Legally Blonde" and the TV series, "The L-Word."
