Mount Baldy at 10,064 feet (about 1800 m) is favored by skiers, snowboarders and tubers in the winter and hikers and mountain bikers in the summer. The highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains, it can be seen from most of Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire and is one of the most photographed sites in the area, particularly when snow capped. A 75-foot (23 m) waterfall is just a few minutes walk from the main road. The Ski Area parking lot is free, but a $5 pass is required to parti on Mount Baldy Road.
