The ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives, housed at the University of Southern California Libraries, is the world's largest repository of LGBTQ materials and has roots in One, Inc. that launched the first national homosexual publication in 1952 and established a center for the academic study of homosexuality four years later. The focus of the collection is national, but it also has local and international materials. The ONE Archives Gallery & Museum in West Hollywood is next door to the volunteer-run June L Mazer Lesbian Archives, which shares an outreach and collection-building partnership with the UCLA Libraries.
