The first tour of Universal Studios in 1915 cost five cents and included a box lunch. The tour today takes you behind the scenes of movie-making but also includes a two-level theme park where Jurassic Park meets the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The thrills include a 3-D encounter with King Kong, all the more terrifying on the night tour. The complex has a three-block entertainment, dining and shopping promenade called Universal CItyWalk with three nightclubs and a 19-screen movie theater. Tours are offered in English, Spanish and Mandarin. Hours vary according to day, opening at 8 am to 9 am and closings between 7 pm and 11 pm.
