Bal Harbour Shops is an open-air ultra-luxury mall on Collins Avenue about nine miles north of South Beach. Its vendors include the likes of Louis Vuitton, Harry Winston, Prada and Neiman Marcus, which opened its first store outside of Texas here in 1971. Its open-air restaurant Carpaccio is a place to be seen (and to celebrity watch). Public bus travels up Collins Avenue from Miami Beach.
