Cheesy but entertaining, duck tours are so popular that Miami Beach has two competitive amphibious companies, which depart a block apart just north of Lincoln Road. The original Duck Tours of South Beach at 1661 St. James St. operates blue-and-orange crafts that quack. The red-and-white Miami Pirate water trolleys have an Ahoy Matey theme and launch by the New World Symphony Center. Both tours run 90 minutes, divided between land and bay. Adult tickets are around $30, the Pirate duck slightly cheaper. Kids are $18. Reservations for daily departures can be booked online. Arrive early, particularly during peak holiday times.
