The 42-foot high bronze sculpture of a giant hand reaching out of the ground at the Holocaust Memorial Plaza honors the six million Jews who died under the Nazis in World War II. At 1933-1945 Meridian Avenue a few blocks north of Lincoln Road, it has a reflecting pool, Jersusalem stone passages and black granite walls displaying a history of the war.
