Gay-owned RFOrchids is a lush tropical nursery, specializing in rare and hybrid flowering orchids, many bred or discovered by Robert Fuchs, who was called "The King of Orchids" in Susan Orlean's "The Orchid Thief." There's no charge for wandering through the greenhouses or the passion fruit tea. Garden tours are conducted weekends at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The nursery also offers international orchid tours.
