The Wolfsonian-FIU is an extensive collection of materials and objects from 1885 to 1995 illustrating the persuasive power of art and design. Begun by Mitchell Wolfson Jr., scion of a prominent Miami family, it is housed in an imposing building, which had been a storage warehouse until transformed by Miami architect Mark Hampton. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and children 6-12 and free on Fridays from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
