The center of East Hampton's gay beach life is Two Mile Hollow Beach, a large and serene beach that attracts fewer children than other beaches in the Hamptons.  There's little infrastructure, though lifeguards and a public bathroom are both on hand.  Cruising takes place to the left, and the scene heats up at night.
