Korakia Pensione, called one of the sexiest hotels in America, is straight out of exotic North Africa, which is what the Scottish painter Gordon Coutts intended when he built his "Dar Maroc" villa in 1923, attempting to recreate an earlier life in Tangiers. Dar Maroc and a 1930s Mediterranean villa of an early silent-screen star are part of a collection of bungalows, guesthouses, gardens and pools that make up Korakia (Greek for "crow"), a 1.5-acre one-of-a-kind B&B. It's a favorite photo shoot for national magazines as well as wedding site. Don't book here if you expect to watch TV in your room.
