The popular "Bump-n-Grind" Trail is a 3.4 mile (5 km) loop that climbs about 1,000 feet. It starts on Painters Path behind Target in Palm Desert and is accessible from October until May. It's popular for hiking, trail running, walking, views and wildlife, but leave your pooches behind. Dogs are barred because the trail is in Peninsula bighorn sheep territory.
