The National Museum of American Jewish History, founded in 1976 with 40 objects, now has more than 30,000 artifacts and state-of-the-art technology in a five-story building affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution. Covering nearly four centuries of Jewish life in America, it has a free exhibition on the ground floor displaying Einstein's pipe, Irving Berlin's piano and Stephen Spielberg's first movie camera.

It's a good collection but the museum is geared towards kids. I hoped for better interactive displays. Make sure you check the exhibit near the bathrooms for anti-Semitic displays. Very interesting.
The gift shop had some great items too.
