The Crystal Hotel is run by the McMenamins who own and operate multiple historic hotels and trendy brewpubs in Portland, including the Kennedy School.  At one point in its history, the Crystal Hotel was a gay bath house although it is best known for its close proximity to one of Portland's most renowned performance venues, the Crystal Ballroom.  Each of the 51 rooms are inspired by a song performed over the last 100 years at the Crystal Ballroom and guests are invited to enjoy the complimentary saltwater soaking pool.
