Multnomah Falls is the classic waterfall adventure for any Portland-goer. Head out towards the Columbia Gorge and you'll see the signs. It's often crowded during good weather but still beautiful and the steep but well-paved climb to the top is worth it for the view; look down from the platform just over the waterfall's edge. There are a number of less-crowded hikes in the area as well.
