Commercial Street is Provincetown's main artery, and almost all of the best stores will be found here, including the many fine art galleries. During the high season, the sidewalks really come to life, and an evening stroll can feel more like a visit to the carnival. Stores stay open later in the summer, so you can easily spend a couple of hours soaking up the sights and sounds while you browse.

Don't know what to do but you love to people watch? Make time to stroll up and down Commercial Street. The best time (in my opinion) to do this is when people are heading to the Boatslip Tea Dance or just as it is ending - the people watching is amazing.
