Just a quarter mile north from Highland Road exit on Route 6 is Head of the Meadow Beach, a remote area with breathtaking sand cliffs and a series of good bike paths. It's an ideal spot for a bit of nude sun-bathing, but be sure to check for park rangers first, as this is not exactly legal. Insider tip: keep your eyes open at low tide - the wreck of the Frances, which sank on the hidden sand bars in 1872 , can still be seen.
