A cheerful repository of local history and culture, the Provincetown Library is housed in a meticulously restored church and provides some of the best views on the peninsula from its steeple. A well-stocked children's section makes this a nice destination for the whole family, particularly for the popular children's story hour on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Don't miss the second floor, where a 1900s fishing boat has been installed as a memento of the town's shipbuilding prowess. Admission is free.
