Along with Provincetown and Truro, Wellfleet makes up the trio of small beach towns dotting the Outer Cape. Like its neighbors, it has a number of good art galleries, some fine shopping and several excellent restaurants, including Mac's Seafood. It's a popular destination for cyclists, and takes about an hour and a half to reach by bicycle. The atmosphere is decidedly more low-key than Provincetown, making it a nice day trip when you want fewer crowds.
