A 55-acre paradise inside Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco Botanical Garden is a year-round profusion of fragrant flowers and decorative grasses. Individual plots are designed to represent different locations around the world, and include plantings as disparate as redwood groves and succulent gardens. Free tours are offered daily; check with staff at the on-site bookstore.
