Book a tour that takes you from downtown San Francisco north into the gentle hills of Napa and Sonoma. Here you can walk through vineyards, tour wine-making facilities and, of course, taste any number of small batch and specialty wines. Stop for lunch in Yountville, which also has some great shopping, and imparts a sense of the relaxed rhythms of America's wine country.
